چکیده
Peri-ictal water drinking (PIWD) is a rare vegetative manifestation of temporal lobe epilepsy without definite lateralization value. We report case PIWD in 22-year-old Omani man with post-concussion syndrome and presented to tertiary care hospital Muscat, Oman 2021 for evaluation paroxysmal events. His behaviour was misinterpreted by his family until characterized the epilepsy-monitoring unit as that treated medically. To our knowledge, this second reported region.

Simple ictal or interictal automatisms are commonly seen in epilepsy, whereas complex automatisms are rare. Simple ictal vocalizations or appendicular automatisms have been reported to be due to mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. However, seizure-associated singing and dancing is very rare. We report a seventeen-year-old patient with ictal singing and rhythmic swinging of the arms as a dancing gest...

AIM Concordance of EEG findings and MRI is best correlated with favored surgical outcome in patients with unilateral mesial temporal sclerosis (MTS). If there is no evidence for unilateral focus with scalp EEG, invasive recordings are undertaken. In this report we describe the investigation process for epilepsy surgery in patients with unilateral MTS and contralateral ictal scal...

Introduction: Medial temporal sclerosis (MTS) is a form of mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE). It is typically characterized by structural alterations in hippocampus (HC) and related mesial temporal lobe (MTL) network. Resting state functional connectivity (RSFC) is considered an ideal technique in quantifying the dysfunction and maladaptation in MTL network. It is well- dem...

Mesial temporal sclerosis is the commonest cause of partial complex seizures. The aetiology of this condition is controversial, but it is postulated that both acquired and developmental processes may be involved. Familial cases have also been reported. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the imaging investigation of choice for the diagnosis and has been shown to be highly sensitive and specific...
